Bruton Sisters online exhibit

An online exhibit about the Bruton Sisters is now available on Orbits of Known and Unknown Objects, a website put together by some creative people at the San Francisco Art Institute.  (Margaret Bruton attended the San Francisco Art Institute when she was still a teenager -- see my blog post about it here).  

The article by Nina Zurier discusses Helen Bruton's mosaics at UC Berkeley and recounts the night the Brutons met Matisse.  Apparently Esther’s letter to her friend Ina Perham is one of the few first-hand accounts of that evening.
